Light Management

Light Management is the control of both artificial and natural lighting to provide the right light at the right place at the right time. We can integrate occupancy sensors, daylight sensors, personal lighting controls and centralized facilities management control to provide a cohesive, efficient and cost effective building lighting solution.

Meeting the Needs of Facilities Management

We provide powerful tools to facilities managers to centrally monitor and control lighting usage. These include Emergency Lighting test solutions, Scheduled lighting events and centralized control and monitoring.

Emergency Lighting Testing

Testing of emergency fixtures can now be centrally controlled and carried out with the simple push of a button or even scheduled to be carried out at specified times, reducing the facilities management costs of emergency testing. We can automatically test both the function of the emergency lighting as well as performing testing of the state of the battery in the emergency fixture. This allows facilities managers to easily identify those fixtures that need preventative maintenance. Our systems provide comprehensive emergency fixture test reports that identify the time, date, fixture identification and test result for all emergency fixtures.

Scheduled Lighting Events

Our lighting systems can schedule lighting events to turn lights in selected areas on and off based on time of day.

Centralized Control and Monitoring

We can integrate out lighting control systems into building management systems using the OPC standard. For those companies that do not have a building management system, but who still wish to have the benefits of centralized lighting management and control, we can provide cost-effective dedicated solutions for facilities management of building and office lighting. Centralized monitoring can identify lamp failures, lighting usage, energy usage and emergency fixture status. All visible on a graphical overlay of your building flooplan.

Energy Efficient Lighting Solutions

With increasing energy costs and new stricter regulations for energy efficiency, it is important to include lighting in plans for building improvements. We can offer a range of solutions from upgrading existing fluorescent fixtures to high efficiency ballasts through to high efficiency modular control units.

Individual Control

In addition to comprehensive centralized controls, we offer solutions so that each employee has control of task lighting to meet their individual needs. Task lighting may need to be adapted based on ambient light or the specific task in hand. We use light sensors above the desk to turn lights on and off based on occupancy or to maintain a constant light level above a work surface, irrespective of natural daylight conditions. For the ultimate in personal control, we can even offer a pop-up personal lighting scene control on a PC screen.
