Home Automation

Home Automation

The automation of systems in a custom installation is commonly referred to as Home Automation and is an important part of the overall custom installation project.

Homes that have automation possibilities are often referred to as Smart Homes.

Home Automation relies on the fact that a Custom Installation integrates technologies and systems in the home. Once integrated, these systems can be linked together to provide automation possibilities. In many cases, one or more systems are working together to make control of the home more convenient or to improve security, for example:

  • Lights can turn on automatically when a security alarm is activated.
  • Lights and Curtains can operate automatically, to give the illusion the house is occupied when it is not.
  • Lights can automatically dim and a projector screen can lower when a film is starting.

The possibilities are many and varied.
