Architectural and Residential Light Management

Lighting can provide drama and interest to an area, highlighting the textures and fabrics of your interior design or illuminating a favourite piece of art. A well designed lighting scheme and accompanying architectural lighting control system will bring out the beauty and character of your home.

The key to a good lighting design is to use a variety of fixture types and lighting effects and to combine these to allow changes of mood depending on the time of day or an activity. To do this effectively requires a lighting control system that is capable of dimming and switching multiple lighting circuits, recalling a lighting scene to create a mood or ambiance at the simple push of a button.

Lighting control is not only limited to artificial lighting. Natural daylight can be controlled with automated blinds and curtains to allow natural daylight levels to be controlled as part of the same lighting control system. The combination of natural and artifical lighting control is called Light Management. Many lighting systems on the market are not capable of this integrated approach to lighting control. All of our systems have this capability built-in, ready to take advantage of now or in the future.

Not only do our lighting controls provide great flexibility in controlling lighting around the home, they also contribute to saving energy. All the products are designed to be very energy efficient and to reduce running costs. A further energy saving can be gained by automatically closing blinds at certain times of day to manage heat loss when a room is unoccupied. It is even possible to use light management to automatically close blinds when the sun comes out.

Lighting control is increasingly being used to showcase outside areas. These include garden, patio and pool areas.

We work with clients, architects, interior designers, lighting consultants and landscape designers to develop integrated lighting schemes and control systems.

Wall-Switches are available in a wide range of finishes and styles. We can even develop custom wall-plates to match any décor, traditional or contemporary.
