VirtuCon

Piquant have developed new software for lighting control in office and residential situations.

VirtuCon is a virtual PC-based lighting control panel that is used to provide lighting control from your Windows desktop. The program can be used to control any system with a Helvar lighting Router via Ethernet connection making it an ideal solution for offices and other commercial environments.

The control emulates the operation of a physical scene-set control but is implemented as a virtual control on a PC. VirtuCon can be fully customised with a variety of appearance and labelling options and is capable of emulating any of the standard Helvar lighting control panels.

By clicking on virtual control buttons, the user can adjust lighting levels using custom preset scenes. The system can be used alongside real control panels or as an alternative to hardware based controls.

Virtucon was developed by Piquant to allow employees in office environments to have individual lighting control of their work areas while avoiding expensive cable routing and rewiring. Virtucon communicates across existing office computer networks.
